About Store:
Wick and Larry fell in love with the Wallbed concept and decided that was a business that they were uniquely qualified for. Wick grew up in the furniture business. Her father’s family traveled west from Iowa and settled in and around East Los Angeles around the turn of the 20th century. They established one of the first retail furniture showrooms in East Los Angeles which 3 generations ran until 2005. Wick can still remember playing in the loft of the warehouse while her father was out on deliveries. She brings with her a great sense of style and fashion while being highly practical. Of Wallbeds she states, “if someone needs more space and does not want the expense of employing a contractor and their crew, then a wallbed could be the perfect solution to the space challenge problem.”
Larry, on the other hand began his career in the furniture industry back in 1988. “I swore, coming out of college in 1983, that I would never take a job in accounting. In 1988 I found myself employed as an Internal Auditor for a chain of 18 retail furniture stores.” Of that job he states “I hated it!” It was a unique beginning to a career in the furniture industry. Over the past 25 years he has been involved in accounting, store management, national sales management, marketing and sales as an Independent Manufacturer’s Representative. Why Wallbeds now? “I like to see peoples’ eyes light up when they see the possibilities that a Wallbed can bring to their homes.”
Wick and Larry would love to help define your space challenged needs and assist in fulfilling them with quality, function and style (without a contractor of course). The showroom is open to the public by appointment 7 days a week.
